By overcoming the serious limitations of the current biodiesel catalysts, PHE possesses a significant financial advantage over current production methods. These advantages come from reducing waste, improving the purity of the glycerin byproduct, and simplifying the process (reducing capital cost). The PHE technology is able to process the lowest grades of waste and recycled oils or greases. Further, PHE can do so on a relatively small scale so that processing plants can be located closer to feedstocks and biodiesel customers.
